About
I've spent three decades building and transforming supply chain operations at scale — from growing Amazon's North American sortation network from 3 sites to 29, managing 35,000 employees and a $3B+ budget, to leading a turnaround of Amazon's European network across 7 countries and €1.1B in OpEx. Before Amazon I spent 16 years at FedEx in progressively senior roles, ultimately as VP of Postal Operations managing large-scale transportation networks and a strategic USPS partnership.More recently I scaled international logistics infrastructure at Sendle across the US, Canada, and Australia, and have advised companies including Clarios on global supply chain strategy, alternative fulfillment design, and AI-enabled planning.Today I focus my energy in three ways:Teaching — As Assistant Professor of Practice at Marquette University's College of Business Administration, I bring three decades of operational experience into the classroom, preparing the next generation of supply chain leaders.Advising & Fractional Leadership — I work selectively with executives, investors, and boards on complex supply chain transformation, network design, and operational strategy. My engagements typically involve situations where scale, international complexity, or technology integration create the hardest problems.Board & Governance — I bring operational depth and global perspective to board work, with experience as Chairman and long-term Board Member of the Parcel Shippers Association and as President and Fellow of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.I'm actively open to board, advisory, fractional, and select full-time executive opportunities where I can drive meaningful impact at scale.Core capabilities: Global operations leadership · International network design · Reverse logistics · Alternative fulfillment · Transportation strategy · AI-enabled supply chain · Large-scale turnaround · M&A integration · Team development at scale
