About
I started my career with a wrench in my hand for over 3 years to become a certified car mechanic before spending nearly two decades on the OEM side of robotics. Throughout that journey, one fundamental truth has remained constant: technology needs to serve people, not the other way around. As an Automation Realist, my goal is to act as an independent voice for manufacturers, championing Industry 5.0 and Human-Centric Automation. Throughout my career, I saw companies repeat a costly mistake: investing millions in robotics, only to watch deployments struggle because they ignored the human operators.Forced automation creates fear and resistance. Instead, we must cultivate people as vital "sources" of insight, not corporate "resources." My work is dedicated to bridging the gap between the whiteboard and the shop floor—aligning the sterile engineering ideal of "Work-as-Imagined" with the messy reality of "Work-as-Done."Backed by an MSc in Business Administration and Economics, a Diploma in Industrial Engineering, and decades of hands-on experience, I speak the language of mechanics, engineers, and executives. Managing cross-cultural robotics projects across North America, Europe, and Asia—alongside early experience conducting creative problem-solving workshops—gives me a unique lens on how workforces adapt to change. I use this technical background not to select hardware, but to translate "soft" psychological concepts into "hard" manufacturing metrics.HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER:• Pre-CapEx SMEs: I offer independent guidance for manufacturers automating for the first time. I evaluate the practical shop-floor impact of vendor proposals to ensure your rollout strategy sets your people up for success.• System Integrators: As an "Adoption Architect," I help diagnose and resolve the human friction preventing technology from functioning efficiently, consulting end-customers to secure alignment early.• Custom Workshops: I facilitate interactive sessions designed to break down silos between strategy and daily execution, building the human trust required to deploy complex automation safely.• Keynote Speaking: I deliver keynotes bridging the gap between engineering systems and the workforce, speaking on human-centric automation and the cultural shift of Industry 5.0.LET'S CONNECT:Whether you are a manufacturer, a system integrator, an event organizer, or someone passionate about the human side of industrial automation, send me a message. Let's build environments where systems support and elevate the people using them.

After nearly 20 years on the OEM side of robotics, I now help manufacturers navigate the practical realities of industrial automation. While my background gives me a deep understanding of the machinery, I typically leave the pure technical engineering to other experts. Instead, I use my technical knowledge to solve the human challenges that arise when new systems hit the shop floor. I am a huge believer in technology, but even the most advanced robotics don't operate in a vacuum. When friction happens, it’s rarely just a technical flaw—it’s a disconnect between the engineering plan and the reality on the floor. As an "Automation Realist," my goal is to bridge the gap between "Work-as-Imagined" on the whiteboard and "Work-as-Done" by the operators. My work centers on Human-Centric Automation and Industry 5.0—focusing on how technology and people can collaborate. HOW I HELP: • The Human Side of CapEx: For SMEs automating for the first time, I act as an independent sounding board. I evaluate how a proposed system will impact day-to-day workflows to ensure your adoption strategy sets your people up for success. • Deployment & Adoption Support: Working with System Integrators and manufacturers, I smooth out the adoption process. By addressing cognitive ergonomics and natural hesitation, we reduce friction and help teams adapt faster. • Fostering Collaboration: I help build a "Social Operating System" where frontline workers, engineers, and leadership all have a voice. Cultivating workforce insights early on leads to sustainable, efficient outcomes. Ultimately, whether deploying robotics or improving operational culture, I help build environments where systems support and elevate the people using them.
