Delphine O

Delphine O is ambassador-at-large and Secretary General for the Generation Equality Forum (Beijing+25), at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has led the organization of the largest international conference for gender equality since 1995, convened by UN Women and co-chaired by France and Mexico, in June 2021 in Paris. The Generation Equality Forum gathered 10,000s of participants and raised $40bn for women's rights around the world. As an ambassador, she represents France in all multilateral and bilateral negotiations on women's rights. in 2022 and 2023, she represented France in the Gender Equality Advisory Council of the G7. She was previously a Member of Parliament for La République en Marche, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee and the chairwoman of the France-Iran friendship group at the French National Assembly. Delphine O graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Harvard Kennedy School. She is a French-American Young Leader 2019, Munich Young Leader 2019, member of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and a member of the Strategic Orientation Board of the German Marshall Fund France. She is also the Special Envoy for Generation Equality of Women Political Leaders. In 2021, she was named among the "40 Women of the Year" by Forbes France. In 2023, she published her first book : "La diplomatie féministe est un sport de combat" at Tallandier. She also teaches at Sciences Po's School of International Affairs a class on feminist foreign policy since 2021.
