Handelsbanken PLC is one of the first major European lenders to receive a UK banking licence. This was achieved during 2018 and the implementation of a new HR/Payroll system was part of this wider transformation project. I joined the team in October 2018 with a remit to deliver the data migration from the legacy system into the new system (iTrent) and to draw on my knowledge and experience of iTrent in order to support and advise the team during configuration and implementation and during UAT and User training. The HR and Payroll data for approximately 2000 employees was migrated into iTrent for the first parallel run with 85% of the data reconciling perfectly. Refinement of calculations led to a 95% reconciliation for the second parallel run. I was enormously proud to have contributed, as part of an excellent piece of team work, to this great result and to a successful implementation of a key system within the wider transformation programme.
