I work in business development, which basically means figuring out how to get the right conversations started and helping turn them into real business. I spend my time understanding what companies need, talking to people, following up (yes, politely), and making sure things move forward instead of getting stuck in inboxes. I’ve worked across business development and marketing, so I understand both sides: getting attention and then actually keeping it. I care about clear messaging, good timing, and not sounding like every other “just checking in” message out there. I also really enjoy writing. Whether it’s outreach messages, pitches, or just putting ideas into words, I like keeping things simple and clear. I’ve learned that good writing helps a lot in business development; if people understand you, they’re more likely to respond. I’m interested in roles where business development is about people, conversations, and long-term relationships, not just numbers on a dashboard. And yes, I write because I like it, not because everything needs to be a campaign.
