Addiction is our nation’s leading neglected disease. The pitfalls of existing solutions to monitor and treat addiction has resulted in more than 90% of addicts not receiving treatment. Lumme's mission is to tackle this problem with technology that is scalable, affordable, and personalized. Lumme’s proprietary software platform combines sophisticated machine learning, wearable sensors, and behavioral psychology to design a virtual therapist in every user’s pocket. Lumme is funded by the centers at the National Institutes of Health and we are currently focusing on solving the top 3 addiction problem in the US: smoking, drinking, and obesity. The economic costs associated with these addictions amount to $759B/year. Our first product is a smoking cessation platform that combines research conducted at UMass Amherst and Yale School of Medicine.
