I am Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NextStar Venture Partners, a first time fund investing in early stage startups in AI-enabled industries. My co-founder is my long-time friend and colleague, Swati Dasgupta. We bring a terrific combination of skills, connections and experience. We are investing in Energy, Industrial, Healthcare and Cyber Security companies transformed by AI.Recently, I joined True Global Ventures as the part-time Operating Partner in Silicon Valley. We invest in AI companies in industries related to the future of work, including education, talent, hiring, sales, marketing, coding and so forth.Previously, I was Director of Strategy and co-founder at IBM Ventures. At the time, IBM established professional relationships with Venture Capital firms and their portfolio companies in order to drive innovation in the industry and at IBM, to share insights, and to build ecosystems around our high growth products and services. I was the primary liason with the venture community for our software and hardware businesses, and had world-wide responsibility. At IBM I was instrumental in a number of deals. I sourced several acquisitions and many strategic alliances, as well as recent minority equity investments. Now I am also an independent CVC advisor and CVC in Residence at Pitch Global; Venture Partner at Mosaic Ventures, a mobility-focused fund in Taiwan; and advisor to Pegasus Tech Ventures' StartupWorld Cup.Specialties: AI, Climate, Cyber Security, Mobility, HealthIT; women in tech; emerging technologies, markets, and business models; venture capital; startups; entrepreneurial ecosystems globally
