* Post secondment i returned to Sedley Richard Laurence Voulters as an Audit Senior where i provided audit and assurance services for a range of clients. Key responsibilities included: * Auditing financial statements under UK GAAP and performing due diligence * Supervising and reviewing the work of audit juniors and audit semi-seniors before the review of audit managers * Reviewing and supervising work handed to an outsourcing company in India * Communicating effectively to clients and working alongside them to implement accounting systems in their companies * Preparing partnership and corporation tax returns and for review by the tax department.

* Sprigg Abbott are an auditing firm based in Milnerton, Cape Town. I was afforded an opportunity to be seconded there for 18 months as an audit senior to gain valuable experience in international audit. During my time there I audited a variety of companies in the Cape Town area and also in Durban. My role included: * Providing audit and assurance of financial statements under IFRS * Assisting in the training and development of junior members of staff in the practice * Assisting on due diligence assignments * Preparing tax returns for review by the taxation department under South African tax legislation

Having joined as a junior my role initially was bookkeeping and assisting with the preparation of financial accounts and VAT returns. I was employed there for nine years and moved up in seniority and my time there included an eighteen-month secondment to an affiliate firm in Cape Town, South Africa, where I was employed as an auditor. My pre-secondment role included: * Preparing bank reconciliations and entry level bookkeeping for accounts preparation * Assisting in the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies * Preparing VAT Returns * Royalty auditing and tour accounting for the musician clients

As a Finance Business Partner my main role is to provide the highest standard of management information and support to budget holders with the view to achieve the Group’s primary business objectives. Key responsibilities include: * Partnering with business units to prepare budgets including commentary for the Board and Leadership Team * Preparing and reviewing business plans for grants and investment projects * Design and implementation of management reports including constant review to ensure they are informative and accurate * Continual review of business processes to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose * Providing functional support for projects ensuring the effective use of business resources * Identifying current trends in property market and keeping abreast of government legislation on social housing * Preparing business models used to assess tenders and CAPEX proposals.
