As the Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division, I am responsible for providing oversight of the detectives, crime scene investigators, latent print examiners, and crime analysts. The detectives are divided into Homicide, Assault and Battery, Robbery, Special Victims, Property, Auto Theft, and Fugitive Units. I have been with the Orlando Police Department for almost 25 years and have served in patrol operations, criminal investigations, intelligence, violent crimes initiatives, airport operations, and the motor unit. I served on many specialized teams for OPD including SWAT, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), and the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM). I am currently the Commander of the Emergency Services Unit (ESU). Before coming to OPD, I served with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (CA). I received a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Northridge in Sociology with an option in Criminology and Corrections. In 2007, I completed the Command Officer Develop Course through the University of Louisville.

General services related to Economic Development, Code Enforcement, Police and Fire, Permitting, Public Works: Solid Waste, Street and Drainage, Engineering, Parks & Recreation, Neighborhood Relations, etc. are provided to the residents of the City of Orlando limits.
