Led Etsy's participation in the first Resilience Engineering Consortium (see our findings at http://stella.report). Created Engineering Practice group to improve engineering and management through continuous learning.

Founded and managed technology-driven social enterprise that empowers coders to improve their impact on the world. In three years of operation, thousands of coders of diverse genders, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds engaged in open source, social good technology projects through the CodeMontage web platform, workshops, and Coder Day of Service events.

Created and led network of 1,000+ NYC-based web developers, software engineers, database administrators - any and all technologists who'd like to use their skills for good - who network, share opportunities to volunteer, and learn about social mission businesses with technology needs. In 2014, the Developers for Good community became a part of CodeMontage.

Created the first technology track for Barnard Athena Center's Leadership Lab, a professional development training center, and developed and taught the first product development course for Barnard Athena Center's Entrepreneurs in Training and Girl Scout Leadership Institute pre-college programs.

Led database architecture, administration, and business intelligence efforts through periods of substantial growth. Incorporated PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, ActiveRecord, Redis, Sphinx, and Memcached technologies as well as external services including Google Analytics and RJ Metrics. Worked closely with development, operations, product, and user relations teams - helping developers access relevant data, ensuring the site's stability and performance, providing quantitative insight into user behavior, and facilitating data-driven decision making.

Served as developer and technical consultant to business owners, driving actionable insights from analytics data for over 4 million site users.

Developed and optimized financial data retrieval code as part of Excel Plug-in product development team (using SQL Server 2005/2008, C#/.NET, Vertica). Enhanced public portfolio data by incorporating business logic and standardizing data for retrieval across company products. On a rotational basis, was directly responsible for diagnosing production database issues from client-facing products to internal applications.

Developed a custom warehousing inventory management system, significantly reduced data entry costs through automation, and served as MS SQL Server administrator.

Developed Microsoft Access and Oracle-powered database system for tracking non-profit annual report documents. Trained and managed small team of data miners.
