Polytechnic with First Division.  Diploma in Architecture with First Division. Computer Profile :  PLS Pole & Tower, RISA Tower, RISA 3D, L-Pile, Tower Cad, CABFADD, Impax, PAUL and etc.  STAAD PRO, Auto cad  M.S.Project, M.S.Office, Shape Builder and etc., Skills & Strength :  Have exposure and extensive background of Structural analysis and design of Transmission/Communication towers/poles and Civil/Structural engineering.  Have exposure and extensive background in Construction, Inspection and Material Testing.  Have exposure to V.S.L.Post Tensioning system.  Have exposure and well conversant with TIA, IS, NESC, ASTM, ASCE, ACI, CSA, and BS Codes  Have exposure to Architectural & Structural related drawings.  Have exposure to Execution of all Civil works like Independent, Residential & Commercial complexes.  Flexibility enough to mould as situation demands.

Nature of Job Activities: Dayanand Swamy Kuna is working with the Valmont at Pune, he has been heading engineering design activities, Full-scale Testing, technical support to Quality & production teams, quotes submission to sales team (domestic and international), Quality Review, and Inspection. He has an extensive background in Engineering Analysis and Design, Inspection, Management, and Construction. He has knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards for Transmission, Telecommunication, Lighting, Traffic, Building and other structures. He is assigned as a Deputy General Manager/Engineering Head in the Valmont (India). He has experience on software packages like Impax, Paul, PLS, STAAD Pro, Tower Cad, RISA Tower, RISA 3D, CABFADD, Auto CAD, L-Pile, MS Project, MS office and etc., and also he is well conversant with IS, ASTM, ASCE , ACI, CSA & BS Codes. International Exposure: Valmont has provided me an opportunity to work with International teams of Valmont USA and Valmont China. Major Projects: 1. 230 kV D/C pole design for Abul Khair Steel Products Limited, Chittagong, Bangladesh. 2. 225 kV D/C Poles design for DCW Limited (Ivory Coast) 3. 220 kV/400 kV Poles design and supplied to Pushmina Builders (KPTCL) 4. 220 kV D/C Poles supplied to Skylark (KPTCL) 5. 110 kV D/C Poles design and supplied to Tulsyan NEC Limited (TNEB) Major Achievements & Accomplishments: 1. Monopole Tower Chapter is written by myself and published in the CBIP manual (Publication No. 323) released in July 2014. 2. Paper presented in National level work shop conducted by CPRI in 2011. 3. Successful completion of pole testing from 66kV to 400 kV levels at CPRI and L&T Testing centers. 4. Technical trainings conducted to internal and external teams on EIP lines, quality, assembly and installation of poles. 5. Costing spread sheet development (Domestic and International) 6. Raft, pier, and pile foundation spread sheet developments.

He has knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards for telecommunication and civil structures. He is assigned as a Lead Civil Engineer in the Black & Veatch Telecommunication Division. He has experience on software packages like STAAD Pro, Tower Cad, RISA Tower, RISA 3D, CABFADD, Auto CAD, L-Pile, MS Project, MS office and etc., and also he is well conversant with IS, ASTM, ASCE , ACI, CSA & BS Codes. International Exposure: Black & Veatch has provided me an opportunity to work at Kansas City, U.S.A for the period of four (4) months on different projects like AT&T Towers, metroPCS, T-Mobile, MediaFLO/FloTV and etc. Transmission Line Towers: Up-gradation of Transmission Line towers: Clear Wireless Technologies Inc.,(CWL) & Union Electric Company of Missouri, U.S.; Clear Wireless Technologies Inc is requested us to upgrade the existing 138 kv transmission line towers with three (3) panel antennas, three (3) Microwave dishes, Seven (7) coax and two (2) 2” ducts. Accordingly Black & Veatch does the analysis of existing towers with PLS Tower Software to check their capacity of towers with proposed and existing loads.
