* Lead the pre-commissioning/commissioning activities in the areas of responsibility which include control loop checking, function testing & plant tuning. * Organize and supervise commissioning activities within the framework and priorities defined by the Commissioning leader. * Modification and troubleshooting of instruments including earth leakage detector, process instruments and fire & gas detection. * Support vendors and operation in commissioning of plant equipment and make sure that it meets the standards and follow the correct procedure. * Configuration of magnetrol level transmitter, radar level transmitter, GE digital flow transmitter and Rheonix flow transmitter. * Control that commissioning activities in the field are performed in accordance with the project requirements. * Continue to maintain & optimize the operation, providing operational support & ongoing development project activities.

* Configuration and calibration of instruments including level, flow, pressure & temperature transmitters, analyzers, air operated valves, solenoid operated valves, motor operated valve, gas detection system including detection of LEL and H2S gas detectors. * Updating of technical documents for the red mark ups and drawings for handover projects. * Inspections installation of instruments refers to plot plan drawings, P&ID, and data specifications.

* Commissioning of the plant including supervising the loop checking and startup of the instruments and the control system in coordination with the client representative. * Interfacing of different systems with the master controller through vendors recommended industrial protocol like modbus as per client's standards and project requirement. * Supporting project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including: reviewing procedures, arranging FCO resources, periodically attending FAT, and adjusting commissioning scope to integrate FAT successes and deficiencies. * Oversee the use, care, and operation of process control instrumentation, electrical, and related equipment; research, recommend and implement new and revised procedures, systems and equipment for assigned unit. * Supervise the safe and effective execution of planned maintenance in cooperation with the operations supervisor of the facility. * Highlight technical problems encountered and propose corrective actions. * Prepare relevant section of the commissioning dossiers and clear punch list items.

* Conduct pre-loop and final loop testing in field instrument, process logic test and site commissioning. * Integrity testing of ESD system based on the narrative report/sequence logic of the system design. * Safely perform the following: o calibration checks of field instrumentation o stroke test of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated valves o loop-checks and troubleshooting (I/O checking and troubleshooting) o fiber optic panels wiring against IFC drawings and red-lining/as-building as required o cause and effect matrix checks o interlocks, alarms, & controls performance verification o installation inspection against design documentation o completion of approved commissioning check sheets * Use of calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test and perform troubleshooting and diagnose faults. * Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and test various types of process control instruments which include pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and electronic instruments.

* Conducting ESD and Fire & Gas cause and effect testing. Verifying the plant control system with the control narratives. * Performing calibrations on plant equipment, walk downs and punch listing of systems for handover purposes. Red lining of P&ID diagrams and Vendor drawings. * Responsible for the successful operation of all I and C systems during commissioning of a gas plant. Initial Start Up & Commissioning activities of process and utility systems. * Loop checking of instrument such as flow, level, pressure, temperature (Rosemount, Vortex, Yokogawa and ABB) on/off valves and control valves (Emerson, BIFFIS, Masoneilan and Fisher) includes also switches and solenoid valves. * Interface function test of instruments between DCS, ESD and F&G by TRICONEX TMR and Emerson System (Delta V Fieldbus) within cause and effect matrix.

* Liaise with client counterpart (internal and external) to maintain good working relationship. * Reviews project specifications / code requirements, Project Quality Plan, respective procedure, work methodology and ITP. * Conduct daily inspection and test as required in the ITP. * Ensures implementation of the project Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plan. * Prepares records / documentation of inspected item as required. * Reports any Nonconforming products and prepares Nonconformity report. * Participates in the disposition of nonconforming items / products. * Attends internal project coordination meetings. * Checks / monitors subcontractor’s quality performance * Drives Quality Improvement

* Perform bench/field calibration of process instrumentation such as temperature, flow, level, pressure transmitters, control valves, gas detectors, pressure switch and level switch. * Weight test of level trol transmitter (Masoneilan) for interface level. * Remove and replaced the defective instrument as part of preventive and corrective maintenance procedure.

* Perform bench/field calibration of process instrumentation. * Assist in troubleshooting, and plant maintenance works. exposure to the plant safety practices. * Exposure to the plant safety practices, equipment familiarization, process, tools and other matters related to plant operations.

* Perform fire and gas device testing and calibration. * Assist in the installation and commissioning of fire & gas detection system and fire alarm panel configuration.

* Coordination of control system activities with other disciplines and relevant groups to ensure efficient use of available resources. * Developing automation commissioning plan, assigning resources & estimating durations. * Provide direction to engineers and vendors carrying out testing and troubleshooting controls system problems. * Creation and organization of electronic and hard copy system folders as per CDB guidelines & procedures.
