At over 15 years with SMART Recovery, my role as the Greater Los Angeles Regional Coordinator is pioneering evidence-based addiction treatment and support. The organization's mission to offer self-empowering help groups has thrived, as we have successfully developed training programs for facilitators and broadened our global outreach. My passion for harm reduction strategies complements our SMART Recovery work, where we implement programs aimed at minimizing the adverse effects of substance use. This dual approach has fortified contributions to the field, establishing a comprehensive model of care that meets individuals on their terms and promotes a community- centered on resilience and self-empowerment.
