~ Lead designer of rocket carrier structure V2. Including the design of rocket stabilization arms, release mechanisms, beam sizing, and bolt and joint analysis. Designed for low budget and ease of manufacturing. ~ Advanced ANSYS static simulations – 7 full months ~ Worked with large Solidworks assemblies, used speedPak, custom properties, and parametric models ~ Stepped up and took ownership over company in-house 3D printing, local computer networking, and local High-performance computing (HPC) for ANSYS.

~ Managed all mechanical operations for the rover team which is comprised of over 50 undergraduate and graduate students ~ Responsibilities include: mechanical research, design, manufacturing, mentor-ship, and project management. ~ Oversaw/run all 3D printing operations for QSET ensuring productive rapid prototyping ~ Queen's Space Engineering Team is a multidisciplinary design team that annually designs a Mars rover to compete in the University Rover Challenge, at the Mars Desert Research Station, Hanksville, Utah.

~ Project manager and co-design lead for the total redesign of the Mars rover arm and supporting arm systems using Solidworks and Fusion 360. ~ Required excellent organization skills to manage members remotely, due to the pandemic, and coordinate parallelized work. As a result, QSET saw a record number of concurrent mechanical projects as well as a large increase in member retention. ~ Designed and iterated several potential designs of the rover's arm, comparing the advantages of linear actuators vs direct driven worm drives.
