Downing LLP raises and invests venture capital. We typically invest £2m to £20m in either asset-rich, renewable energy or high growth companies. I am in the Asset Backed and Growth investment team looking to identify opportunities to invest in growing UK SMEs with a particular focus on healthcare and leisure. I am responsible for deal origination and execution also working alongside portfolio companies on an on going basis.

Executing buy and sell-side transactions (including auction processes and bilateral deals), covering acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, fundraisings and cross-border transactions. Experience: detailed financial analysis, valuation, financial modelling, investment presentations and the drafting of investment memoranda. Completed transactions include: Sale of Maxwell Stewart, a mechanical and engineering services provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning maintenance for corporate and commercial properties, to Servest Group Limited (Jun-13) Buy-out of Titan Airways, a leading UK charter airline specialising in VIP and corporate travel as well as airline sub-charter and aircraft leasing. (Dec-12) Sale of Trimega Laboratories, a laboratory testing business, to Ingemino as part of its ‘buy-and-build’ strategy in the biological testing market.
