About
During my DPhil at the University of Oxford, I obtained expertise in single cell and whole transcriptome analyses focusing on their application to Barrett's esophagus and nasopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Following work on these projects, I am now interested in understanding the microenvironment of mesothelioma with special consideration of the variation in histological phenotype (e.g. sarcomatoid vs epithelia) and immune cell content and expression. In particular, I'm interested in clarifying these features in terms of their within tumor heterogeneity with the eventual goal of identifying new investigative pathways for drug discovery in mesothelioma. I'm pursuing this work in the Bueno laboratory in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women's hospital while completing my medical degree.
