During my last year within the Army I was trained as an ECM Op Maintainer. My duties included the spectrum analysing testing of essential life saving kit. Within this job role I deployed out to Afghanistan and provided front line support in the fight against Improvised Explosive devices (IED's). This equipment provided cover against all known Remote Control (RC) devices so both the maintenance and documentation had to be of the highest standard.

Providing electrical support to a highly technical communications environment through the use of generators. During my time here I played a key role as a supervisor in the maintenance, repair and use of power distribution sytems. As a maintenance manager my role was to asses all completed work from junior members and carry out on-the-job training to ensure my team were constantly pushing for improvement. Within this role I was specifically responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of all generator sets, ranging from small 24V DC battery charging units right up to 40kw 3 phase AC. When deployed on operations it was required that I worked on numerous container generator sets with ratings up to 750kw. Additional responsibilities include the use of various power supply systems an ancillaries. Responsible for the management of all PPM and inspections carried out and then additionally completing all the required paperwork. whilst completing this it was required for me to comply with all safety regulations and enforce health and safety throughout the work force.
