Development, design and project management of St Louis Bar and Grille and new concept Wing City by St louis. Manage suppliers’ deliverables and tender projects for construction. Seek building permit approval as well as Landlord approval to expedite construction on a fast-paced process. Troubleshoot construction problems and creatively resolve issues to seamlessly construct stores on a timely basis. Manage costs and update complete costs through a development cost schedule.

Direct and lead teams of engineers and architects through the Site planning approval process complete with RFP issuance as well as tender analysis and award via a scoring matrix. Chaired meetings to successfully move the large scale 66-acre site for IKEA as well as a 100-acre site for Highlight Motors project. Tracked engineer’s performance of reporting multiple documents to apply for SPA. Engaged in office and on site to monitor progress. Participated in many design meetings with Architects and engineers to advise review on design to gain client approval. Created multiple tender analysis spreadsheets to advise client on preferred contractor.

Project manage and contract administer the planning, design, budgeting of new, renovated and downsize projects on a timely basis. Update weekly reports on timing, cost and building permit status as well as outstanding deficiencies. Successfully opened 3 new stores in Ontario and Alberta and one downsize location in BC.

Directed and lead engineers and architects to design and build a 100,000 sf 3 floor office space in North York for Questrade. Assisted on site with a full-time site supervisor and project managed all engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. Maintained Microsoft project schedule and chaired weekly site meetings to ensure progress. Updated a Master project chart ensuring cost control and communication.

Project manage the construction of a 6-story multiuse apartment/commercial building at 41 River St. Toronto. As a developer coordinate Architects, engineers, and contractor to ensure building is completed to standards and building code. Participate in weekly owner meetings to track progress and trouble shoot potential problems. Tender various contracts and involved in tender analysis for selection of contractors.

Lead and manage the construction of new retail stores from initial through store opening; ● Ensure projects are executed according to approved plans and corporate retail design criteria; ● Establish new processes and structures to effectively monitor and measure the progress of each retail store; ● Estimate project budget for each unique build out; ● Develop and maintain construction schedule with opening timeline and staffing requirements ● Manage contractor activities to ensure adherence to the project construction schedule and budget ● Lead project meetings with contractors, internal & external stakeholders ● Be a subject matter expert (SME), applying technical and knowledge to the completion of project(s) ● Interpret plans and specifications according to the scope of the project and communicate job requirements to contractors ● Comply with best practices and standards for each retail construction which satisfy building core requirements and adhere to all company, provincial and federal policies & regulations. ● Prepare all project schedule status and reports for leadership ● Constantly investigate ways to improve processes, reduce costs, reduce steps/timeline to store opening etc. ● Create building standards and processes including. This includes standard documents to tender projects and issue contracts and PO’s to suppliers. ● Design and implementation of construction, construction procurement and purchasing processes including ○ standardized documents for tendering projects ○ standardized contractual documents for contractors, designers, and external service providers ○ standardized purchase order process documents for suppliers ● Responsible for training, coaching, and development of 2+ reports in project management and facilities coordination ● Task delegation and scheduling pertaining to facilities needs across retail and corporate channels; ● Oversee Store Construction project budget as well as facilities maintenance budget.
