David Schanes

David is an enigmatic photographer from Maryland who uses his photographs to get his audience to ask questions about themselves with his work. He earned a BFA in fine art photography at the Academy of art university in San Francisco California. During school he used a keen eye for detail and abstract way of thinking to derive provocative and introspective work that drew praise and examination from peers and teachers alike. Focusing on the concepts of identity David honed a small but tight body of work over his college experience that he continues to this day. Post college David has worked a variety of jobs. From photography retoucher at Colorythm, with clients such as Levis Strauss, to self employed teacher handling small groups of interested individuals and giving them insight and knowledge from his personal and professional experience as a photographer and retoucher. David is a voracious reader and creative writer in his spare time. David also started up an indie gaming studio and is in the process of developing his first game as writer and pixel artist using the Game maker studio 2 engine. Industrious and adventurous David will rise to any challenge while seeking to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
