About
David N. Kenigsberg, MD, FACC, FHRS is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who has been practicing electrophysiology in South Florida since 2007. He is a founding member of Florida Heart Rhythm Specialists, PLLC, a practice that provides high level electrophysiology services to a large part of Broward County. Dr. Kenigsberg is the medical director of the electrophysiology laboratory at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida. His academic roles include serving as a Voluntary Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at Nova Southeastern University and a Clinical Preceptor for the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program at Keiser University. Dr. Kenigsberg received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami and his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in the prestigious six-year Honors Program in Medical Education. Subsequently, he performed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Kenigsberg then went on to cardiology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow. Finally, he completed his training with a two year electrophysiology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Kenigsberg is currently Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Kenigsberg has published numerous scholarly articles in peer-reviewed medical journals on many topics germane to electrophysiology. He has been the primary investigator/co-investigator in a myriad of clinical trials involving device and lead development and device programming. In addition, Dr. Kenigsberg has been involved in the development of intellectual property utilizing cardiac devices for early detection of patients at risk for a heart attack.
