David McCall, the Principal Engineer, has over 35 years of experience in mechanical engineering in the Oil & Gas and defense industries.

Mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing support for sustaining and new product development.

Provided technical analysis support to manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and product engineering. Developed detailed analytical models of the interaction of the manufacturing process and the manufactured product.

Responsible for developing core manufacturing processes and managing/executing capital projects. Duties include developing and implementing capital projects process manual formalizing the Front End Loading (FEL) process, developing capacity upgrade plans with estimated plant capacities, developing plans and capacity estimates for a commercial scale manufacturing facility, developing equipment specifications and working with equipment suppliers, and managing and participating in the design, development, and installation of specialized manufacturing equipment. Coordinate with product engineering to insure that manufacturing capability plans are aligned with product development. Assisted in the engineering management of end fitting design, development, manufacture and installation.

Manage day to day operations at a Coiled Tubing Manufacturing Plant. Duties include development of production schedules, staffing plans, prioritization of resources, directing engineering projects, product development, and equipment requirements, defining goals and objectives for each department, developing and implementing capital equipment plans, and developing budgets.

June 2003 to February 2005: Mechanical Engineer, Marine Imaging Systems Division. Responsible for the design, development, and qualification of the mechanical components, interconnect cables, and sensors for an in-water marine source controller and other in-water marine mechanical systems. Duties include developing functional specifications, environmental specifications, creating 3D mechanical models, creating CAD drawings, performing finite element analysis, performing mathematical modeling, and documenting results. November 2001 to June 2003: Engineering Manager, Alvin Facility, Marine Streamers. Manage the development, manufacturing, and sustaining engineering for marine streamers and related products at the Alvin Facility. Duties included developing budgets, assigning responsibilities, prioritizing tasks, making presentations, and writing reports. Responsible for the mechanical component design, system requirements, and the analytical analysis of a Reaction Injection Molded floatation material for a new solid streamer. October 1999 to November 2001: Engineering Manager, Alvin Facility, Marine Engineering. Manage the development, manufacturing, and sustaining engineering for the Alvin Facility. Duties included developing budgets, assigning responsibilities, prioritizing tasks, making presentations, and writing reports. Assisted in the engineering to develop a new Export Hydrophone. Oversaw the development and implementation of the hydrophone calibration procedures. June 1996 to October 1999: Engineering Manager, Marine Energy Sources. Manage Marine Engineering group. Oversee development of new concept air gun and solenoid valve. Engineer and oversee installation of above ground test tank. Worked with sales to develop customer requirements for marine seismic system. July 1995 to June 1996: Development Engineer, Marine Energy Sources. Responsible for design, manufacturing, and sustaining engineering of Sleeve Guns and related products.

Duties included layout of manufacturing and test equipment, design and testing of new components, performing finite element analysis, producing CAD drawings, designing and conducting tests, and writing reports. Division was purchased by Input/Output, Inc. in July 1995.

Responsible for the design, development, and testing of new components for an existing pneumatic seismic source (Sleeve Gun) and solenoid valve, and development of a new seismic source. Duties included designing hardware, performing finite element analysis and computer modeling, producing CAD drawings, designing tests, performing tests, reducing data, writing reports ,and making presentations. Division was purchased by Western Geophysical Exploration Products in January 1994.

February 1989 to May 1991: Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for the design, development, and testing of the energy absorbing nose and suspension lugs for a Nuclear Depth/Strike Bomb. Duties included defining requirements, performing analytical analysis, coordinating analysis, performing evaluation tests, working with production agencies, and making presentations. May 1987 to February 1989: System Mechanical Engineer on a weapon Permissive Action Link Controller. Responsible for mechanical packaging and definition of environmental and security requirements.
