David Mahony, PhD, ABPP
Chief Executive Officer @ Northside Psychology
About
As the author of the MPABS and founder of Northside Psychology, I have over 24 years experience evaluating bariatric surgery candidates. MPABS is still the only psychological test designed specifically for bariatric candidates and is used by clinicians and researchers worldwide (www.psypack.com). Northside Psychology continues to expand and is now evaluating bariatric surgery candidates across the US. As the CEO of Northside Psychology I lead a team of highly qualified, licensed psychologists who provide remote psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery candidates using telehealth. We evaluate patients quickly and accurately, identify those who are not good surgical candidates or who are at risk of dropping out, and use motivational techniques to help them complete surgery. Our mission is to improve the quality and accessibility of mental health care for bariatric surgery patients. Northside is always hiring licensed clinical psychologists throughout the US!
