With over 30 years of senior-level positions and proprietary trading experience, David is a veteran of the Canadian Hedge Fund and Financial Services Industry. David draws upon his broad range of experiences - senior management, trading of equities and derivatives, operations, accounting, and regulatory oversight - in his role as Chief Compliance Officer at Forge First Asset Management providing compliance and risk management guidance for the firm. Before becoming a Hedge Fund manager in 1999, David developed and managed a proprietary equity dervatives group that focused on listed and OTC structured derivative trading (domestically and internationally), Convertible Debentures, Institutional Preferreds, Tax Arbitrage Strategies, Merger Arbitrage, and International Stock Loan Arbitrage Programs. David first learned the business as the Treasurer of an institutional brokerage house and was responsible for all accounting, regulatory reporting and brokerage house operations and was a member of the firm's executive committee.
