Starting in the fall of 2016, Ben Goertzel and I conceptualized and founded SingularityNet, the decentralized AI blockchain foundation with the AGI token. SingularityNet to strives serve humanity in the short term, while designing towards an artificial general intelligence (AGI) system that can appreciate humanity and life, and that will self-optimize for maximizing net benefits for all living beings. Since the founding, SNet has produced and deployed numerous AI innovations, infrastructure, and products, with notable partnerships in crypto and conventional business. In 2021, SingularityNet was named by Nasdaq as one of the most important crypto projects to watch. Our respective also have interfaced the SingularityNet tech with Hanson Robotics' Sophia robot, via the Hanson-AI SDK, demonstrating progress in several academic papers, and moving towards commercial deployment with the Awakening Health Grace robot in 2020 and 2021. With this kind of progress, it's easy to see that AGI may well come to life within the next few decades.
