I have nearly thirty years of experience in legal, compliance, and risk management in the financial services industry with a focus on (re)insurance. I provide legal advice and counsel to leadership on legal and business matters, working with stakeholders to oversee and ensure legal compliance and identifying and managing potential risks. I participate in strategic planning and decision making. I participated in or supervised domestic/international (re)insurance regulation and compliance; drafted (re)insurance transactions, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, and contracts; participated in corporate governance; assisted with product development, risk management, and claims; and managed mergers and acquisitions. I provide advice and counsel to business and functional leadership, including treasury, finance and statutory accounting, information technology, investment, tax, real estate/facilities, and marketing/communications. I collaborate with and supervise outside counsel. I have extensive experience with routine and complex regulatory inquiries, enforcement matters, and filings.
