Regional Director - Operations role. Functional post overseeing CLP's operating interests in Australia, India and South East Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, SAR China. Responsible for the O&M of CAPCO's 6,840 MW of generation in Hong Kong. CAPCO was a 60/40 Joint Venture Company formed between ExxonMobil and CLP Power.

Asset Management of 6,840 MW of generating plant in Hong Kong. Resonsible for the development of the asset mangment system to PAS55. Additional responsibility was the day to day management of the fuel contracts (gas, coal and oil).

Support the company's strategy to develop a multi-utilities business. Identification of possible opportunities in the areas of Water, Waste to Energy, and District Cooling. Included the development of the business case, project selection and JV considerations.

Technical and commercial completion of Phase 1 (6 units) of Black Point Combined Cycle Power Station. Settlement of claims, plant warranty issues and main plant variations.

Recruited from National Power in the UK Required to undergo a period of familiarisation in both Generation and Transmission. After familiaristion assigned a permanent position in Project Commissioining.

Responsible for providing a range of engineering services to National Power's generating fleet. Development of Operating Guidelines, Specifications, Feasibility Studies and Safety Cases.

Responsible Design and Project Engineer on the AGR Fuel Dry Buffer Store Project. Project Team was a collaboration between the CEGB and SSEB.

Two year training scheme approved by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Training included transmission, conventional and nuclear power plant.

Four year Engineering Officer Cadetship as approved by the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB), UK. Combination of full time education coupled with hands-on experience at sea. Experience of both steam and motor plant.
