Together with my partner, Kara Hess, I've created a comic book geared towards empowering the kids of this world to become the Hero of their very own Extraordinary Life Story. Using the model of the Hero's Journey, the story follows Will, a young boy, as he gets pulled into a video game world by a mysterious avatar. He learns to become the pilot of a massive robot, called his S.E.L.F. (Sentient Explorative Life Force), and become a Master Controller in his life.

In this position, I worked on a huge variety of design and illustration projects, ranging from logo design and video production to comic book illustrations and animation.

I taught a selection of medium sized class made up of Taiwanese children and young adults, ranging from 6 years old to 18 years old. I prepared lesson plans, additional educational materials, and administered tests. I covered everything from reading and writing to listening and speaking, while maintaining classroom management and the engagement of the students.

I was required to create and update curriculum, lead weekly meetings, and facilitate communication between the Taiwanese staff as well as the other ex-patriate teachers.

I worked in a one-on-one setting with children diagnosed to be on the Autism Spectrum. Each student had an individual IEP that had me teaching them anything from simple self-help skills for the children on the lower end of the spectrum to reading and math skills for the high-end students.

I studied a range of subjects, including Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Psychology before settling upon Applied Behavioral Analysis in my 3rd year. I focused my skill set on the treatment of children diagnosed with Autism. I also have experience in research and data collection settings.","I also earned a minor in Creative Writing."]
