I jumped into this project, LHA6 USS America at the bottom of the integration verification and validation phase of the project. A huge challenge since my scope of responsibilities and the sheer magnitude of the project is 3 times the size of anything I have ever tried to manage before. I'm having fun, after wrapping my arms around the entire Hull Mechanical & Electrical System of Systems I wowed the admiral with real time schematic displays of ship systems status...something that they had tried and failed to implement for the last two years. It took me about 3 weeks to solve that problem and that was just something I did in my spare time. Of course, there are all the usual tasks of ship systems integration and I field all those as well.
