* Supporting the operation and functionality of EPoS machines used in the Ascot Racecourse * Plotting, programming, installing, repairing and troubleshooting EPoS machines * Training staff on how to use the machines

I am senior supplier to all projects delivering enterprise application solutions for the university; a number of which have already been delivered successfully (attendance monitoring, accommodation, access control). I am responsible for developing and implementing the enterprise applications, reporting and solutions strategy, applications architecture and road-maps across the whole life-cycle from selection, implementation, support and maintenance to decommissioning in the university. I provide strong leadership and represent the Applications Services department as part of the CIO's senior management team.

In this role, I successfully delivered a number of key digital projects, including a multi-million pound website transformation, a personal tutoring dashboard improvement, and a student extension application system. I was responsible for defining and managing the Web and Mobile application portfolio as well as providing software development and support services to meet the demands of the business. I was also responsible for developing and leading a skilled web team, as well as supporting them as their line manager in their day to day operational work and throughout their career development. I was the main point of contact on advice for best practice in web. I provided technical architectural expertise, direction, and advice to my team and others and ensure these are aligned to organisational goals, objectives and standards.

* Managing campus-wide academic support systems upgrade project from XP to Windows 7 * Lab maintenance, including reporting and fixing of PC hardware & software faults. * Setting up staff machines and laptops * Using essential Service Desk tools including ADUC, SCCM, Footprints, Merlin, Ghost and Infoblox

* Liaising with clients to ensure retention of their business, and using the feedback to improve their experience with the company, than passing it on across the business. * Creating reports that are fed to the board of directors, spreadsheets, emails, letters, and administering the system database & online booking platform

* I am responsible for development, implementation and delivery of applications for the academic and administration functions - this includes upgrades to existing applications, developing application interfaces and implementing new (in-house or commercial) software. I am also tasked with safeguarding the transition of solutions into production by applying robust testing disciplines and effective configuration management. Other roles and responsibilities include: * Supporting all web-based projects (development, rebranding, URL) * Providing service desk support for web related issues for staff and students * Providing development support in various programming languages across the department * Managing the web content management system and training users on how to use it effectively
