He has a bachelor's in music (conducting, UFMG, Brazil, 2010) and a master's in Sonology (UFMG, Brazil, 2012). He obtained his Ph.D. in Music Technology (2017), focusing on the analysis of musical performance, pattern recognition, and audio signal processing for music applications.
