Responsible for Design Development, Construction, Commissioning and hand back of M&E/LV E&P and retail telecoms (SISS) aspects of numerous projects throughout the North West Current responsibilities include:- • M&E / LV E&P CRE (Construction) • M&E / LV E&P / SISS Delivery Manager • Design Management from Grip stage 3 – 5 using Early Contractor Involvement • Management of subcontractors • Procurement of Materials • Programme Management. • Design Checks and assurance in line with NR-L2-CIV-003 - Engineering and Architectural Assurance of Building and Civil Engineering • Design checks and assurance in line with NR-L2-ELP-27311- Engineering Assurance for Design and Implementation of Electrical Power • Management, review and settlement of M&E / E&P and SISS Bids and Tenders • Production and/or checking of H&S paperwork inc but not limited to Pre-Construction Information plans, Construction Phase plans, Risk assessment and method statements (WPPs & TBS) and appropriate input to accident and incident investigations. Schemes as CRE:- • Headbolt Lane Station – Value £2.2M. • Wigan to Bolton Electrification - Value £700K. • Greater Manchester Platform Extensions – Value £200K. • Mersey Travel Train Lengthening – Value £500K (16no stations). • Wigan NW platform mods- Value £40K. • Northern Train Lengthening Phase II- Value £600k (14no stations). • Buxton Carriage Sidings Extension – Value £150K. • Northern Train Lengthening Phase I - Value £320k (6no stations). • Liverpool Lime Street Remodelling – Value £1M. • Maghull North Station – Value £750K. • Blackburn Sidings – Value £2.75M. • Allerton TMD Enhancements – Value £2.4M. • Preston & Leyland Temporary sidings – Value £2M. • Huyton & Roby Phase One and Two - Value £1.3M. • Farnworth & Moses Gate - Value £500K – As above except for heating modifications • Manchester Airport Platform 4 - Value £150K. • Rochdale Station and Calder Valley Capacity Improvement – Value £420K. • Chorley Station – Value - £150K.

Direct responsibility for the engineering and management of distribution projects. These include LV power distribution for electrification projects, Utility upgrades, 650v Signalling distribution, Level crossing upgrades, S&C points heating renewals and minor works projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- • CRE (Construction) for IMT – LNE/LNW & GNGE S&C Signalling Power & Points Heating, TRANCHE Level Crossing upgrades and various independent Signalling projects • Management of Assistant/Graduate Engineers, supervisors, on site labour, materials, and subcontractors. • Production of Estimates, Test & commissioning documentation and safety critical paperwork. • Lead test engineer • Form E (Electrical Power) Hand back • Liaison with Testers in Charge

Attending to all matters both technical & commercial relating to M&E Sevices on a contract basis

Working as part of a small business unit; reporting directly to the rail operations director. Responsibilities included but were not limited to:- •Delivery of accurate and competitive tenders within deadlines up to £2M •Simultaneously managing numerous multi-discipline projects •Delivery of accurate monthly PM reports •Overseeing D&B Projects •Constantly reviewing process/value engineering analysis in order to improve service and costs without disruption. •Working closely with internal colleagues and the client to fulfil/achieve objectives of the company. •Production of cable calculations lighting plots. •Composition of WPP, TBS & RAMS •Acquisition and management of subcontractors, materials and supply chain labour PROJECTS INCLUDED:- •Buckshaw Parkway Station, Chorley – Appointed CRE (Construction) for the M&E installation at the request of the main contractor (VolkerFitzpatrick) The role included all matters technical and commercial ensuring that the project was delivered on time and within budget. •Napier road Maintenance depot – Design and Construction of internal and external electrical services including LV distribution & lighting. •Tyseley Rail Depot – Over seeing the Full M&E design & build of an extension to a rail maintenance depot, Services included Internal & External Lighting & Small power, Radiant heating, and waste oil recovery/delivery. •Edge Hill Depot – Design and Construction of internal and external electrical services including LV distribution & lighting. •Connah’s Quay Substation - Over seeing the Full M&E design & build of a new Gas Insulated Switchgear Building. Services included LV Mains Distribution systems, Internal and external Lighting and small power. AC, Ventilation and H&C Water.
