Built a high performing team of engineers that designed & deployed energy storage projects across the Americas, consistently innovating to exceeded customer expectations and accelerating deployment speeds. Spearheaded cross-functional team collaboration to continuously enhance our product offerings. Streamline operations through business system improvements, increasing effectiveness & visibility into operations.

Designing, developing and deploying Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects ranging from 50 kW to 100 MW+. Project types include: Off-grid Microgrids, Utility, Commercial & Industrial. The project engineering team executes Turnkey and OEM power plant projects. We are responsible for the technical feasibility, execution & success of industrial storage projects across the Americas, as well as next generation product design input & site integration.

Designed, developed and built automated assembly lines for Tesla Model 3 production. Lines included equipment in Paint & Plastics, General Assembly, Body shop and Material flow systems. • Delivered world’s first automated front and rear bumper assembly lines (Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs, Fanuc Robots, Safety, RFID, Vision) • Improved code rollout from weeks to hours by re-writing 50 PLCs with object-oriented style code • Working with manufacturing operating system software engineers to develop material flow solutions (Python, Ignition UI, REST API)

Lead on-site electrical engineer commissioning & upgrading gas turbine power plant systems (20MW+ TM2500/LM6000) in Asia Pacific. • 5 awards for achieving deadlines safely on projects in the Philippines, Indonesia and Darwin • Designed & implemented lithium ion battery charger firmware for GE Transport products (C & C++) • Commissioned 8 next Generation Gas Turbine excitation systems in less than 6 months (175 MW) including debugging and troubleshooting post commissioning issues • Commissioned Automatic Voltage Regulators, Protection Relays, Synchronisation, Drives, Rotating equipment, Control systems, Switchgear, Grid Compliance and Vibration Monitors.

2-year intensive Global Growth Engineering Leadership Program with four 6-month rotations in Application Engineering, Service Engineering, Software Application Engineering, Software Project Engineering. • On time delivery of a Mobile App Geospatial System ready for deployment to an Electrical Utility, coding using JavaScript, XML, HTML, Batch script, XSL, C++ and Magik (GE proprietary). • Delivered a complete SCADA system with FAT testing for a Dragline on a 1 MM project. Solved control system issues on Dragline Excavators in Rio Tinto and Westfarmer mines (rotating equipment)

Researched methods of producing ultra-short Bragg grating arrays with the Defence Science Technology Organisation Smart Structures group. Researched the feasibility of using stacked holographic optical filters for telescope cameras. Developed cross-faculty relationships between staff working on synergistic materials projects. Developed fabrication techniques with my supervisor to produce the shortest reported fibre Bragg grating sensor arrays in literature. Co-authored a paper to document the research, delivered a presentation and procedural guide on the manufacturing process.

Researched the effects of surface mount sensor adhesives on high frequency Acousto Ultrasonic waves. Presented conclusive results in a formal presentation and technical document. Co-ordinated the DSTO Summer Vacation Scholarship student social group.

Identified customer requirements and provided technology/furniture solutions, commercial printer operation and customer service.

A number of part time roles including Product assembly, IT planning, Procurement, Hiring temporary staff, Accounting, Cost reduction & Marketing trade shows in Australia and Geneva (ECOC and FTTH).

Researched bendable fiber optic pressure sensor behavior for bio-medical applications. Presented the results to academic audiences, then co-authored a paper & letter on the conclusive research findings.

Designed & modeled a wheel hub in Solid-works including FEA. Designed an electrical safety system for the first Electric SAE team.
