Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer (Loads & Dynamics)
About
My objective is to enjoy life. I play tennis in my spare time and coach my kids. I played for university as #1 for D2 college. From my recent professional background:Since summer of 2012, for 9.5 years I worked as a Loads & Dynamics Engineer of primary structures for Orbital Sciences Corp./Orbital ATK, and later for Northrop. I was a Principal Engineer at Northrop, when I laterally transitioned to the Structures Group, where I worked for almost 3 years. In both groups, I worked on very challenging and interesting projects. Due to the nature of a matrix organization, I was able to work on various programs for various missions. Along the way, I met very interesting and dedicated people, from which I had an opportunity to learn a lot. Prior to that, I have completed my BS in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering with honors in 2010, and MS in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering - in December of 2011. I have several internship experiences with reputable companies, such as SPAWAR, Missouri Department of Transportation, Cole County Public Works, and, during my graduate program, I was given the responsibility of managing a lab dedicated to research for a project funded by the US Department of Defense. Also, my experience is supported by work presented in AIAA conference and publication in Measurement Science and Technology magazine. My specialties from the university times were as follows: Design and analysis of micro-air vehicles (MAV); Finite Element Analysis; Matrix Theory; Numerical Methods and Optimization using MATLAB, Excel, and Visual DOC; Engineering Design; Material Science Engineering; System Dynamics; AutoCAD/ProE; Dynamics of Structures; Fluid Dynamics; Continuum Mechanics; Vibration Analysis; Aerodynamics; Research topic: micro-air vehicles (MAV) wing optimization.
