I am currently an accounting major at the University of Texas at Arlington. I have gravitated towards accounting because of how well it matches up with me. I am very detailed oriented and organized. Accounting can be very challenging, but solving the puzzles of accounting, and having a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day is exciting. I am continuing my accounting education at the moment, and am looking for internship opportunities to help me gain the experience I will need for the future. I have certifications in Microsoft Word and Excel 2010, and I have experience working with R source code. I hope to earn my CPA certification after graduating.

At my time at the Waterford, i was able to connect with the residents there. In between serving the lunches and putting up the event flyers in each room, another volunteer and I were able to talk, and play dominoes with, some of the residents there. I was able to learn a lot from just talking and connecting with the older residents, as they talked to us about their lives and the experiences they have had.
