I started working at McDonald's when I was 14-years old and worked there for 9.5 years! And for the past 18+ years, I have been working on a commodities trading floor! Three companies – two with a billion plus dollars in sales, buying/selling and distributing animal protein around the globe! The early years were very reminiscent of movies like “Boiler Room”, “Glengarry Glen Ross”, “Rounders” and a bit of “Wolf of Wall Street” mixed in. There was always betting going on – and we played lots and lots of poker. The fridge and liquor cabinets were always stocked – so there was always an incentive to work late into the night! From the start, I’ve always been the first one in the office – I’m the guy that turns the lights on! I think you have to love and have passion for what you do, to get up without an alarm every day!
