I respond to critical emergency and urgent situations, deliver high quality and effective pre-hospital clinical care and patient transportation, responding to 999 emergencies, inter-hospital transfers, urgent hospital admissions and other allocated patient interventions commensurate with the role and responsibilities. I mentor, train and educate undergraduate Paramedics through practice placements during their university course.

I work regularly as a Bank Paramedic (Part-time) to ensure I keep my clinical skills sharp and focused, which also ensures that my academic clinical skills are current. Current Responsibilities University lead for the Army Combat Medical Technician (CMT) Uplift – Design, delivery, support and assessment of 760 students in 77 locations worldwide. Design, delivery and mentoring of the Army mentoring CMT Uplift workshop, Digital platforms (PebblePad and Blackboard) Army Mentors Handbook and 110 mentors. Project manager of specialist bespoke clinical education. Supporting delivery, assessment and student tutorial of the DipHE Paramedic Practice and CertHE Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, MSc Nursing for the University, Army, RAF and NHS Ambulance Service programmes.

As the Paramedic Professional Learning Adviser and Assessor I lead a particular initiative in the development, co-ordination and assessment of portfolio-based Emergency Care Assistance provision with partner organisations, taking into account national developments for support roles for paramedics. The role includes the development of assessors and the support of students within their work-based setting. I also support the delivery of Paramedic Programmes and contribute to other programmes within the Faculty, especially those relating to paramedic, pre-hospital and emergency care.
