As Group Treasurer, I had three areas of focus - ensuring adequate funding is available and utilised to support the optimal allocation of capital; driving the execution and delivery of the enterprise project portfolio; and providing insights to ensure the group long term strategy will be attained. The three roles encompassed the following: Head of Group Treasury - responsible for ensuring adequate funding and mix to reach the company's strategic ambitions Head of Enterprise Project Management Office - responsible for delivery of enterprise projects and governance while ensuring the right projects are delivered within time and budget and at the right time Head of Group Strategy - responsible for providing insights that enable portfolio discussions across the group, an understanding of the underlying value of each productive economic unit and interpreting the sensitivities that can impact the portfolio

• Ownership of the month end reporting cycle, including the delivery of accurate, timely and relevant group and divisional month end reporting with insightful commentary for variance analysis with a commercial influence; • Analysis of underlying performance driver data, partnering with internal finance and operational teams to enhance decision making; • Produce, deliver and present the group result and monthly financial reporting to the Australian Unity executive team; • Lead the management accounting and operations team; • Owner of group reporting policies which include capital and funding, project accounting, inter-entity loans and fixed assets; and • Owner of the strategic planning process for the group including presentation of the budget and future year’s strategic plan to the board and executive team.

• Developed the concept of reporting at a productive economic unit (PEU) level across the group (previous reporting at Divisional level). Implemented and presented to the board and executive team profit and loss, balance sheet and enhanced financial and non-financial performance measures based on PEUs across the group. • Developed merger and acquisition (M&A) reporting framework and one page executive summary for board consideration of all M&A activity • Responsible for the completion of post implementation reviews following M&A activity • Responsible for the efficient management of the group balance sheet and allocation of capital across the group • Responsible for all capital and funding papers requiring board resolution • Secretary of the major projects and capital expenditure committee maintaining a tight focus on forecast and actual project expenditure

• Helped establish new cash flow processes for monthly board reporting developing methods to allow accurate forecasting of group cash flows for the next 18 months along with business impact metrics

• Senior Business Analyst for the migration of the Big Sky Credit Union general ledger to the Australian Unity general ledger • Prepared the Big Sky completion accounts following the successful integration from the merger

• Senior business analyst on the largest banking integration and transformation project in European history, migrating 32 million customer accounts from the HBOS Oracle General Ledger system to the LBG SAP GL. • Responsible for ensuring data for Management, Statutory, Regulatory and Bank of England reporting was reported accurately post migration • Presentation of results to Group Finance Director and Programme Director • Performance management across multiple work streams • Development of financial ETL model that ensured any customer accounts that were incorrectly not migrated were picked up at the appropriate stage through a reconciliation process • Management of post migration work around processes

• Worked in a contract capacity on multiple client facing finance projects • Responsible for the migration of c.35,000 customer loans from the ACBS system on to the Loan IQ platform • Development of functional and non-functional requirements, test scripts and execution of testing.

• Project Accountant for the Sarbanes Oxley and Basel II programmes performing month end management reporting, comparison of actual costs to budgets and forecasts and challenging divisional finance directors for project allocations

• Month end reporting and cost management / analysis for Merrill Lynch’s external service providers who perform Middle Office, Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting and Custody Services for Institutional, Retail and Private Clients who have investments within Merrill Lynch. • Developed the automation of monthly reporting by integrating Oracle Sales Analyser (OSA) reporting extracts with Microsoft Excel to enable reports to be produced on a timely basis

• Working within the Australian Leisure and Hospitality division of Fosters, I was responsible for month end reporting and analysis for multiple business units, generation of budgeting and forecasting tools, and development of models to determine expected financial impacts from capital expenditure.

• Senior Auditor within the Manufacturing audit Division.
