Illinois Wholesale Cash Register (IWCR) was incorporated in 1976 in Palatine, Illinois. It was founded to bridge the technology gap created by manufacturers accelerating their product development and leaving the end users with no choice other than to purchase new. IWCR offered an alternative. In 1985 the company built its first new building, a 15,000 sq. ft. facility in Palatine, Illinois. Ten years later, we had outgrown that facility and purchased a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. For the next ten years, the business grew at a rate of about 15% per year, and soon that facility was too small. The company's growth and the current facility's size were creating too many inconveniences that made it essential to make one more move. In 2006 IWCR built a 125,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art building in Elgin, Illinois. It was now possible for us to house our entire inventory under one roof. It was now also possible to divide shipping and receiving into separate and distinct areas. The new space also allowed us to become much more efficient. We are now capable of effectively handling any challenge that comes our way. In recent years IWCR has increased its international development so that our services are now used in all parts of the globe, from Egypt to Australia, from England to Panama. IWCR has developed trading partners that grow on the same scale as the North American continent. Our reputation as a competitive and reliable supplier of POS terminals, parts, and features has grown in line with our business growth. We have spared no expense to stay at the top of the technology curve. Our development of communications software has now allowed us to be on par with the requests of our expansive and sophisticated customer base. In short, we are in line and prepared for the future.
