The main objective of this job is to provide proper air flow on commercial and industrial sites in accordance with the engineer’s specifications. This job involves using sophisticated air balancing instruments (balometer, anemometer, Shortridge gauge), as well as programming on the control systems to the main building computers. Another large aspect of this job is report writing which involves many computer related skills including word processing, excel, and drafting. These reports are submitted to engineering firms and mechanical companies.

My main designation at Transportation Services is working as one of the Road Patrollers out of the Woodbridge Yard. This job involves mainly patrolling and inspecting Vaughan's roads on the West side as well as city wide. I create work orders for any roads needing repair, signs requiring repair, streetlights and any other deficiencies that may be encountered. In the winter I salt and plow some of Vaughan's parks and facilities as well. This job involves working with the computer ArcGIS program along with constant awareness of the surroundings. My goal is to ensure a safe environment for the residents of Vaughan. I also have experience working the night shift as a Road Patroller. Some other aspects of my job at Transportation Services include various inspections, repairing potholes / hazards with asphalt (hotbox truck), fixing interlock, cleaning up roadside debris and bylaw sign enforcement.
