Bonjour! I'm Daphné, and I speak two languages most fashion entrepreneurs don't: design and factory. Whether you're a boutique owner launching your own line, an entrepreneur with a brand vision, or a designer who knows how to sketch but never worked with factories, the problem is usually the same: You know what you want to create but you just don't know how to actually get it made. That's the gap I fill. My first job after ESMOD wasn't at a design studio, it was in a manufacturing atelier, working directly with tailors and local designers. I learned about small-scale manufacturing from the inside. Most of all, I learned how garment makers think and what they actually need to get your product right. Later, I worked with factories overseas, and realised that even though they generally follow similar processes, every single one still works and communicates differently. So I spent a few years learning how to adapt, across languages, across cultures, across production methods. Most consultants learned from the design side. I learned from the manufacturing side. I understand both worlds. I co-founded Modaminds because we kept seeing people with really cool ideas get stuck in development & production. Whether it was for something as simple as finding the right materials for their designs or for something as bad as unreliable quality control ending up with unsellable products. So I take your concept and develop it into a produceable collection. I handle design development, supplier sourcing, tech packs, sampling & production management across multiple categories - casualwear, streetwear, loungewear, and everyday smart dressing. I’m basically your one woman’ team! A quick example: I worked with a boutique owner for 4 seasons as she launched her own brand. She knew what her customer wanted, but needed someone to turn her ideas into real products. Pretty much every launch sold out within hours. My job was making sure the product backed up the hype: the right fabrics, fit, construction, and price point. I work with DTC independent brands focused on sustainability and responsible production because I believe they have the power to change the industry. We don't need more clothes, we need better ones.
