● Support Procurement Manager in Leading in supplier management (sourcing, supplier selection and evaluation) to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum, supply chain ● Drivers for ensuring supplier’s capacity and capability for series production ● Analysis and controlling of contractual agreements to prepare renegotiations/subsequent negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies ● Ongoing costs negotiation for purchased materials with direct and 2nd-tier suppliers, which contributes to the profit of the company ● Work with teams for part cost estimations based on technical drawings or physical part. ● Work with SQE for NPI and First Article Approval.

● Work with supplier quality team to perform supplier selection, assessment, audit & qualification ● Analyze drawing, RFQ sourcing, alternative sourcing local/ overseas vendors as well as technical support for current project in order to meet customer’s requirement ● Conduct price negotiation with suppliers for respective parts to obtain agreeable/lowest competitive price, low material holding cost, committed delivery schedule, lead time and payment terms and develop new potential suppliers/vendors for economical procurement. ● Work with customer on ECN implementation, design release & engineering build ● Manage supply chain: shorten lead time, work together with commodity & planning for JIT (Packaging materials) and smartbin program (Hardware eg. Screws & nuts) ● Provide timely support/resolution on purchasing enquiries issues ● Manage overall relationship and performance (RFQ submission) of Suppliers Able to handle sourcing project and close on time with minimal supervision Maintain proper records in master price quote list for current project ● Perform regular performance review with suppliers to drive continous improvements. ● Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions.

● Responsible for the planning, development and action associated with the sourcing of materials, negotiation of pricing and supplier relationship building on large customer projects, special orders and non-forecasted demand ● To establish contingency strategies and plans on core and long lead time’s materials to ensure the production build and delivery is in accordance to company objective. ● Review procedures and operation flow to improve efficiency and effectiveness. ● Act as main communication point between project team and factory for the production related and delivery issues. ● Scope of RFQ sourcing, alternate sourcing & purchasing of materials, local/overseas vendors, for both current and new bidding projects / repeat orders, technical support that meeting production schedule & RFQ from various departments and support cost reduction program. ● Take lead in negotiation with suppliers for respective products and services to obtain agreeable/lowest competitive price, low material holding cost, committed delivery schedule, and payment terms and discounts and develop new potential suppliers/vendors for economical procurement. ● Tracking Global Supply/Demand Trends and benchmarking of prices against market monitor. ● To partner with business units and divisional purchasing resources to guide all purchasing decisions into the most cost and service-effective purchasing channels for the overall organization ● Reduce vendor base through consolidation of services and parts to achieve greater cost saving and enhance work efficiency

● Conduct time studies on existing processes and line balancing on manufacturing line to improve efficiency ● Develop and maintain product specific work instructions, assembly fixtures and equipment for assembly ● Perform technical analysis related to process/design problems ● Assist in resolving production problems within assembly process production as well as troubleshooting customer related issue, indentifying cause effect, thereby facilitating preventive measures and action plans. ● To lead production improvement exercises and activities ( Kanban system, 5’s system, JIT system) ● Knowledge in constructing and use of MRP, BOM, facilities planning, control charts, acceptance sampling and some other Total Quality Management techniques ● Plan, communicate, co-ordinate support plans with customers and to conduct presentation ● Coordinate projects, prepare and update project schedule, equipment selection ● Work with the production, store, planner, buyers, facility department when have new SKU & implementing changes

● To be in charge of secondary process of laser, printing and assembly process for automotive part ● To liaise with Project & QA Engineer on quality issues and evaluate root cause ● To do the Quality control report like FMEA, Control Plan, Work & Operation Instruction ● Handle jig & fixture design, layout and implement new manufacturing processes to support new product. ● Develop and implement continuous flow concept to drive down product cycle time.

● Relevant modules studied are Six Sigma for Business Excellence, Project Management, Advanced Design Applications, Manufacturing Planning and Control, Material Failure analysis, Civil Aerospace: Technology & Business, Service Operations Management, Reliability Engineering, Corporate Strategy and Engineering Management ● Gained experience in computer modelling using ARENA Software. ● Final year project is to develop and model a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) using ARENA Software. ● Awarded the “ELIJAH HEPWORTH MEMORIAL PRIZE” for the best student in the final year of an undergraduate Technology Management programme

● Relevant modules studied are Manufacturing Technology & Control, Communications & Study Skills, Legal Environment for Engineers, Engineering Statistics 1, Computer Aided Engineering, Project Management, Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Control, Operations Management ● Gained experience in computer modeling using AutoCAD and simulation. ● Conducted experiment, hands on workshop technology and practices with accurate records. ● Group project is Mechanical Cum Electrical Sand Cleaner & Grader for use in Construction Industry
