Programmatic owner of all Civil and Structural systems, structures and components for Steam Production (now known as Nuclear Production) at Catawba Nuclear Station.

Progressed from Rodman B to Instrument man A and lead man. Moved from surveying to Mechanical Technical Support in the Constitution Dept in 1981. The combined surveying and technical experiences prepared me well for selection to Component Engineering Services in the plant operations side of Duke Power in 1983.

PM responsible for managing projects at Catawba and McGuire Nuclear Stations that performed maintenance, inspection and repair of steam generators which transfer heat from the reactor coolant system to a secondary water source to make steam to generate electricity. I had oversight responsibilities for 130 - plus peeople. Member of Catawba's Excellence Consulting team from 1991 to 1994. I worked with Engineering and Operations organizations to promote improved employee involvement and to map and implement process improvements. Staff member of the Component Engineering Services group at Catawba from 1983 until 1994. I had responsibility for all civil and structural systems, structures and components.
