Raise awareness of global poverty issues with leaders, the media, and public. Advocate on climate change, education, economic development, food security, and maternal health. Give voice to issues in the developing world. Recruit individuals and organizations. Develop understanding of global poverty issues.

Strengthen public health and emergency preparedness outreach to vulnerable populations in Homeland Security South Region of Colorado. Regional bio-surveillance, disease detection and investigation. Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a Special Needs Emergency Operations Plan for Pueblo County. Develop a training program to assist Special Needs populations and the agencies that serve them. HIV and STD testing, screening, counseling and referral. Health education Work with the Public Health Planner and state and local government to gather, input, and analyze public health indicators for county community health assessment. Work with state and local government, civilian sector educational and service organizations to eliminate health disparities. Public health advocacy and outreach.

Responsible for management and maintenance of Department of Defense (DOD) enlistment test booklets, student test booklets, and scoring keys. Expert knowledge of Privacy Act policy and regulation. Conduct, administer and provide oversight of written examination sessions ranging in size from 1 to 40 persons (enlistment and OPM tests) and 1 to 250 persons (student tests). Responsible for the supervision of multi-service senior level recruiters. Review competitors' test admission form(s) for accuracy and completeness prior to admitting for testing, and if requested provide military recruiters with on-site preliminary score for each enlistee tested. Act as liaison between the civilian recruits and armed forces recruiters, advising and instructing enlistees on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Facilitate, initiate and coordinate testing times and sites; identify issues and trends in specific areas. Create reports for higher headquarters. Provide interpretation of DOD regulations, policy and guidance.
