Directly supervised 20 officers and could supervise up to approximately 34 officers on a given shift. Assisted the manager on duty as needed. Provided access control to the Erich Lindemann Mental Health Clinic to ensure patients, staff and visitors were not entering the building after hours. Oversaw and maintained the restricted list, which was used to provide patient privacy and confidentiality. Provided access control to various departments within the hospital, as well as to the outpatient and research center. Oversees the management of event security by partnering closely with the Special Events department to develop and strategize security plans for events onsite. Coordinates appropriate staffing and staging for all events, including working with outside staffing agencies for additional resources. Coordinates with outside agencies for special events (e.g. private security, state/local police). Operates and maintains equipment to monitor and provide surveillance to all museum areas (e.g. closed circuit television monitors, base station radio, security alarms, card access). Supports call requests for assistance to uphold a high standard of customer service. Operates and maintains a computer aided dispatch system to track security personnel. Executes daily briefing logs and tours of the gallery and storage areas. Manages emergency calls and responds accordingly, collaborating with internal emergency responders and external agencies as required. Responds to potential art damage and other incidences that require investigation with a follow-up report.
