Daniel Kennedy
Head of Investor Relations @ Bit Digital | NASDAQ: BTBT
About
Director of Capital Markets with nearly a decade supporting NASDAQ- and NYSE-listed foreign private issuers. In practice, closer to a U.S. general manager — board seats, functions built from scratch, and a trusted voice in rooms where consequential and directional decisions were made. At BTCM, I renegotiated power purchase agreements using curtailment to cut costs by nearly two-thirds. At MFH, I sourced, negotiated and closed a fully licensed broker-dealer acquisition, including the CMA with FINRA, opening new lines of business in line with a strategy I proposed. I made several key strategic introductions leading to formal partnerships, investment, and new business. I also led a blockchain-based carbon credits project — applying distributed ledger technology to solve the authenticity problem in carbon markets — and secured publications in CoinDesk for the company. At ZJK, I led end-to-end development of a Fortune 500 partnership and saved the relationship with our most important customer by leading the retraction of a politically sensitive press release. I have introduced and supported the investors and capital that helped these companies collectively raise over $100M in public markets. My work spans capital markets and business development, including strategic partnerships, management of investor relations, external communications, and fundraising. My network includes investment banks, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and advisors, and is concentrated in small- and mid-cap global companies across digital assets, fintech, AI infrastructure. My experience translating capital markets strategy into partnerships, capital formation, growth, and narratives is broadly applicable. I am a player-coach; cooperative not competitive. I apply Darwinian logic to ideas — the best one should always win, regardless of the source — whether it comes directly from the CEO or the night cleaning crew when I am staying late at the office and have to turn the automatic lights back on… twice. I found blockchain in 2018, and alongside it, my passion. I spent the following years at public companies, studying market structure, economics, and the systems it aimed to improve. I am highly disciplined, motivated and operate best within clearly defined structure alongside just enough freedom within those constraints to create novel solutions to complex problems. This is what attracted me to public markets and why I love what I do, and I am consistently called upon when the task is difficult and the way is dark.
