Tablelands Regional Council has a responsibility to provide engineering input and advice for development application assessments and oversee design and construction of developments ensuring compliance with Development Application approvals. As the Civil Engineer / Development Engineer Daniel's key responsibilities included assessing general engineering aspects of Development Applications, assessing developments for the issue of Construction Certificates, assess engineering plans for compliance with Council design and construction specifications, processing of engineering and administration matters for subdivision certificates prior to their release from Council, carrying out compliance inspections and oversee civil construction works for development and providing engineering advice to internal departments within Council, developers and the general public.

Supported the North Queensland Waterways and Coastal Manager and acting as North Queensland Team Leader for the technical development, delivery and resourcing for Waterways and Coastal projects from Gladstone to Cairns. Working with a broad range of clients and focusing on key areas such as large scale drainage infrastructure, Stormwater Management, Water Sensitive Urban Design, Dam Impact Assessments and Flooding.

Supported the North Queensland Urban Develop and Transportation Manager as Civil Design Engineer for subdivision earthworks and drainage, traffic impacts of development, development code impact assessments, road network modeling, intersection design, intersection signal design and traffic management plans.

Senior Advisor Asset Management reporting to the General Manager of Infrastructure Services. Responsible for the strategic planning, governance and financial and operational management relating to Tableland Regional Council's infrastructure and assets.
