M.Phil Researcher - EU INTERREG IV-B "ENEVATE" Project

ENEVATE aimed to facilitate and support the accelerated introduction of electric mobility in North West Europe through structured transnational cooperation between public authorities and business representatives. My task was to work with the ESB and DIT in order to manage a pilot project in Dublin City Centre which assessed the viability of commercial battery electric vehicles within an Irish urban environment. Full scholarship awarded, by the ESB & DIT for a 2 year research based masters involving the commencement and management of a pilot project in Dublin. This pilot studied the viability of the use of battery-electric commercial vehicles for last mile deliveries in Dublin. All research fed into a European Union project - ENEVATE, Daily research collaboration with 15 other partners in the North West Europe region alongside the ESB and numerous Irish logistic service providers. Attendance at numerous international conferences and European pilot projects has permitted knowledge to be obtained on state of the art battery electric vehicle and charging point technology Comprehensive knowledge obtained on the Irish and North West European battery-electric vehicle market and consumer behaviours.
