Technical lead and contributor on research and development projects supporting future propulsion machinery. In this role I conceptualize novel designs for rotating machinery using a variety of engineering tools, including Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Romax Gear Analysis, ANSYS, MatLab, and custom codes. My experience is with low-volume, high-value rotating and structural component designed for mechanical shock and vibration, meeting stringent military specifications. As a project lead, I review statements of work, develop project proposals and execution plans, oversee daily project tasks, mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and produce detailed technical reports and CAD models for the customer as project deliverables. Commitment and demonstrated successful on-time, on-budget deliveries while exceeding customer's expectations on work-product quality. I am a self-starter, taking initiative to improve company products and processes. I identified process improvement and spearheaded local implementation of Agile program management methodologies. I am a creative thinker producing novel ideas that advance the products and team forward.

My experience at Baker Hughes centered on new product development and manufacturing support. During this time, my roles provide me increasing levels of responsibility. As a design engineer, I owned the product design from concept generation through initial production, with field support as needed. This allowed me to gain hands-on and technical experience in 3D CAD modeling, 2D drawing creation, detailed analysis (FEA), material procurement, lab experiments, component inspection, prototype assembly and test. Hardware was designed to meet high-temperature, corrosive downhole environments, and survive harsh handling and operational shock and vibration conditions. In this role I also provided pier guidance in engineer software tools, and reviewed engineering drawings for intelligent GD&T application to effectively and efficiently define product definition, meeting ASME standards and internal best practices.

Provide tactical support to the manufacturing of Wireline Tools by: (1) assisting with non-conforming parts, (2) adjusting product design for the purpose of improving manufacturability, and (3) design and build items, such as assembly/test fixtures, to increase productivity of the manufacturing processes. • Diagnosed an on-going product failure that occurred during testing at extreme temperatures and pressures by exploring test-well conditions and performing controlled experiments. • Designed and implemented a solution to the aforementioned failures, allowing for consistent on-time delivery of the product. • Demonstrated a sound understanding of scientific principles behind the design of mechanical components by creating drawings that maintained very tight tolerances where necessary, while conserving their manufacturability. • Participated in a product review board tasked with a primary objective of decreasing product costs, while maintaining quality, by directly working with approved suppliers.

Constructed 200 ft by 400 ft holding and treatment areas for washing PCB contaminated soil. Washed 1500 cubic yards of contaminated soil. Deconstructed entire job site without spreading PCB contaminates.
