I'm a recent graduate from the School of Packaging at Michigan State University looking for a company that I can help by innovating and improving their use of packaging. I like to challenge myself and am excited about the prospect of learning new things and skills. I hope to find a company that can provide opportunities to accomplish both those things. I love the prospect of a new packaging problem, using what we have, and some things never considered, to solve a problem excites me. Any company that produces products needs a package, and I hope I can help provide a package that stands out and gives them an edge.

I was the first packaging intern hired by Halla Visteon Climate Control (HVCC), and a practice they continued after the conclusion of my internship. My initial responsibility was to submit packaging proposals to the companies we supplied to for their approval. Along with that, I created a detailed how-to document that would assist future interns and staff in the submission of these proposals. On a related, I created a packaging specification sheet that replaced the outdated sheets HVCC was using. I accompanied my boss on all site visits to suppliers and assembly plants to help troubleshoot packaging problems while there. I assisted in testing a shipping rack for product security. I scheduled supplier meetings, and awarded contracts to those suppliers for some required packaging dunnage. And finally, I conducted product studies to find out how much packaging we would need to ship our parts.
