I lead empirical research on justice process design and the use of technology in the legal system, focusing on identifying, quantifying, and mitigating AI risks through the Artificial Intelligence Risk and Regulation Lab (AIRRL). My role includes overseeing research projects, engaging with stakeholders, analyzing court procedural data, and authoring reports to enhance evidence-based decision-making and improve access to justice through innovative solutions and policy development.

Under the direction of the Judges to whom they have been assigned, law clerks research points of law, prepare legal memoranda and generally assist the Judges. At the Federal Court, law clerks also assist the Associate Judges.

Cutting-edge research focused on how digitization affects access to justice. Our end goal is to publish the findings of our research, including a best practices guide to courts and governments on how and where to digitize processes to improve access in the justice system.

2022-2023 Chairperson of the National Student Committee of the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice. Chairs all meetings of the committee and subcommittees, directs the recruitment of committee members, engages with the CIAJ to advise on the law student perspective.

A Toronto-based sports & entertainment experience curator that has become the home of the WNBA Toronto bid, as well as other initiatives to support sport with underrepresented and underserved peoples.

My doctoral research investigates the effective and ethical integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation within the Canadian justice system. This work aims to enhance access to justice by developing an evidence-based framework that balances technological innovation with the preservation of core constitutional principles, such as procedural fairness and judicial independence. Through a mixed-methods approach, I am analyzing how new technologies and justice process engineering can create a more user-centric, efficient, and equitable justice system for all Canadians.
